A prototype maturity model such as the one described in this document would assist in providing a blue print for creating a maturity model for SOA. This article would serve as a starting point to consultants and architects in creating questionnaires to assess the SOA maturity of an organization, on both architecture and processes. This article also mentioned the key parameters or the skill sets to be considered for selecting consulting or professional services vendors for SOA transformation. In the process, this article high lighted the SOA linkages to EA, BPM, IT Strategy, IT Governance etc.
