ABSTRACT:
Although data analysis techniques such as data profiling and metadata discovery will still be applied to static data sets, the future of business intelligence requires coordinating a synchronized master repository that equally supports ongoing operations as well as feeding analytics, and that will depend on inlined data quality services such as parsing, standardization, and normalization. Searching and matching techniques are already incorporated within both the operational and the maintenance aspects of MDM, and identity resolution services will continue to be streamlined for embedability. The data quality service components will become robust and scalable to coordinate inspection and resolution of large data streams, both structured and unstructured, flowing simultaneously throughout, and reporting on the performance of multiple business processes.
